Personalized Wineglass:

Here is a neat little project that people really like, yet it is relatively easy to do. Review "How to work with Glass" and plan your design to go on the wineglass. The "plain" wineglasses, that are inexpensive, work the best. It takes a little practice to get used to working on the curved surface. Work slowly and patiently, and have an extra wineglass, "just in case...".

Tip:. If you slip or make a mistake when etching glass, often you can salvage your project by altering the design. Widen the lettering to cover the slip, or, add a little flower or design to incorporate the slip or...

Tip2:. etch over the whole area. That is make a rectangle about 1/2in. high by 1 1/2in. long of solid etched ( ground ) glass. This area can now be written on and erased with an ordinary lead pencil. Ideal for any glass container that you wish to change the label, or quantity etc., often. Of course, the area doesn't have to be a rectangle. Any decorative shape: hearts, ovals, etc. will do!

How would you like to attend a dinner party where your name was engraved on the wineglass!
